What they may not realise is that there are some seriously delicious things to get up to on the other side of the road! Brimming with gourmet treats, spectacular sights and flavours to satisfy the fussiest of foodies; there’s plenty to see and do around our small patch of earth!

BERRY WORLD

There’s nothing quite like a freshly picked berry! They’re ripe and ready for your choosing in summer, so head down to  pick your own! Breakfast is served daily in the cafe from 6am-10am. The coffee beans are roasted and blended in Birregurra by Joe Habib and the fragrant teas are blended by Lorrae at Reggies Tea House. Make a booking to try the town’s famous strawberry jam, sweet strawberry chilli sauce, strawberry dessert sauce and unique strawberry relish. Those with a sweet tooth will struggle to find better dessert toppings anywhere else.

Don’t let the unsuspecting name fool you, this place is full of fresh foods made with wholesome and high-quality ingredients: large, savoury burgers to tame a wild hunger; and fresh, seasonal vegetables to keep you feeling fit and energetic.

If your cravings for caffeine are strong, why not try one of Tea & Scandal’s range of exotic organic blends? Try it iced during a scorcher, or sample a tasty brew of iced coffee to keep you satiated throughout the day. Buy a litre of our milk from there for your stay, but only if you plan on bringing the bottle back! (We usually reserve milk in glass for our farmers market customers, but make an exception for our friends in the region!)

Honoured alongside our mates at Brae Restaurant this year as one of the Top 7 Places To Eat In Melbourne and Victoria According To Lonely Planet Timboon Railway Shed Distillery is simply not to be missed! 

The flagship product here is a single malt whisky, distilled in a pot still, using malted barley as the only grain ingredient. On any given day the Still will be operating and producing spirits behind protective glass for all to see. Come in and enjoy sampling the goods alongside cheese and wine aplenty... it's all part of the Distillery experience!
Their range of spirits currently include coffee cream, chocolate cream, apple liqueur, strawberry schnapps, limoncello and a vanilla vodka.
 

The Timboon Railway Shed Distillery also offers a quality dining experience through “The Shed”, the Distillery’s fully-licensed restaurant. Featuring local produce with a range of light snacks and hearty meals, The Shed has an incredible atmosphere for those that wish to relax in their surroundings with good food and good company. TIMBOON FINE ICE CREAM

A family dairy operation established in 1999 by Tim Marwood and Caroline Simmons, walk in to Timboon’s famous ice-creamery and pick from your favourite ice cold dessert to cool down. Want to know more about the process of ice cream making? Why not take one of their “Sundae School” classes for 45 minutes of creative fun! No matter how you like your favourite dessert, Timboon’s famous ice creamery will tickle your tastebuds and brighten your day!
 

Tim and Caroline are incredible champions of our area. They started the  Distillery originally and are big drivers of the 12 Apostles Food Artisans community.
